Pencil Steeze your next jump

[ 5 ] December 21, 2009 |

Words by: Michelle Smith

Colorado native Scott Hellderson invented the most technical and  steezy jibb move in the industry. It can be practiced on freestyle terrain or in the terrain park. The move is called the PENCIL STEEZE and this is how it is done.

Hellde Pencil Steeze

-Approach jump with legs and arms extended fully. Keep head straight at all times.

-Once in the air pretend you are “light as a feather and stiff as a board”.

-Right before landing slightly relax your legs to avoid breaking all of your bones.

-Immediately after landing keep pencil stance for as long as possible, and then return to normal stance as soon as you initiate  your first turn.

*The PENCIL STEEZE is for expert skiers only. We are not professional jibbnists, and do not recommend that you attempt this move unless you have brass balls and enjoy hyper-extension injuries.

this dangerous maneuver has only been caught on film one time in the history of the world. i only got one frame before the camera exploded in a searing ball of fire. skiing in AK will never be the same:
