Let’s Kick Off Summer by Riding Buck Mountain

[ 4 ] June 21, 2010 |

Thanks to a cold and wet spring local riders Jason and Michelle Smith were able to snowboard the east face of Buck Mountain in Grand Teton National park on June 18, 2010. Conditions were firm and variable which made the riding pretty slow going knowing that we were over huge exposure during the ascent/descent. All in all, it was awesome to kick of summer by riding a Teton Classic.

Enjoy this kinda funny/cheesy video that we made….

Nice spring ride! Good to see folks continuing to make turns, and in spectacular locations on classic descents. What’s next?

I’ve been eyeing up some North Facing Couloirs in Teton Canyon that look pretty sweet…..need a good overnight freeze again to go get em though.
