WOW Michelle!! SO GLAD it turned out as well as it did!! You were very lucky!! You stayed strong and everything worked out!! It was pretty scary watching you get short hauled! Crazy to see you dangling in the sky from a helicopter!!! God was on your side that day and always!!

  2. jay says:

wow, amazing video meesh…so glad you made it out and are still with us!! so what’s next? setting the record for fastest ascent of snow king on crutches? i have no doubt you will be getting after it in some way, shape or form.

  3. Tess says:

Insane footage, so glad you’re ok!!!

  4. Seth says:

Thanks for sharing. We watched the chopper swing up the canyon that afternoon, so it’s nice to see the rest of the story… Best of luck with recovery!

  5. Dave says:

Great vid Michelle, so amazing that you two got everything on film. Your composure throughout makes me a less wary of possibly needing rescue myself someday. Heres to having a fully recovered leg by the time snow flies.

  6. tj says:

Nice video and interesting story but the presentation would be a lot better without the music tracks. The music obscures the voices and, more to the point, creates the wrong feel for a video of what it’s like to be out in the mountains. Ambient noise is all you need and would be so much more authentic.

Hope you’re on the road to recovery.

Meesh you are a BEAST!!!! That was amazing so glad your ok!

  10. Randy says:

WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW. Things could have gone alot worse for you. Luckily those climbing rangers are bad ass, and so are you. You could have been out there whining and crying like a bitch, but you pulled those panties up high and kept it together better than anyone could have done. I wish you lots of luck with your recovery. Also props to Koch. For you to get out safely, he needed to keep his cool too, and he stomped it. There is nothing better than cell reception in the mountains! How much was the heli ride?

  11. meesh says:

A heli rescue ride is free in Teton National Park Randy…which I didn’t know until after the fact. I do have rescue insurance from the American Alpine Club, which I strongly recommend getting as well.

  12. Trisha says:

WOW so amazing, I am really happy you are doing good! That really painted a vivid picture as to what happened and how intense it was up there. You did a great job portraying how everything went down. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

  13. Kathy says:

Gosh Michelle, and you’re still smiling! Great job on this – I can’t believe the heli ride, I always wondered how they did that.

    Hi Meesh!
My boyfriend came across this and shared it with me. I had a very similar accident just two months ago (July 9th)while rock climbing with my boyfriend I shattered my tib/fib. I also had to wait several hours for rescue and went through numerous surgeries to alleviate the compartmental syndrome attempting to take over my leg. I am in recovery now, but would love to hear more about your progression. I am sure you will be going through similar things I have already to this point. I was just given the ok for partial weight bearing…and oh what a relief to begin walking again.

I would love to share stories with you…FB?

  15. Julie A says:

You are one crazy chica! I’m glad you’re alright. Get some rest so you can heal!
