Reel Rock is coming to Jackson
In case ripping powder isn’t giving you enough of a fix the Reel Rock Film is finally coming to Jackson tonight. We’ve heard that this year’s film is epic. It will be showing at 7 p.m. at the Jackson Hole High School. Cost is $12 at the door. The event will also benefit the Teton Boulder Project….which still lacks funds that are needed to complete the whole project.
In case you missed one of our previous posts about the film, check out what Jackson skier Tristan Greszko had to say about the film and of course, watch the trailer below:
If there’s still a Reel Rock showing wherever you are, RUN and get a ticket right now. After seeing Dean Potter’s ridiculous freeBASE solo of the Alien Roof (5.12b) on the Rostrum in Yosemite, Daniel Woods and Paul Robinson and their multi-year quests for perfection on the hardest bouldering problems (The Game and Lucid Dreaming, both V16) ever dreamed up, and Ueli Steck’s MIND-BLOWING speed ascent of the Eiger North Face, I’m now convinced that climbers/mountaineers at the top of their game are THE most impressive athletes in the world, period. The combination of strength and grace, dedication, and mental focus – with HUGE risk and exposure – is really unlike anything else out there. I still haven’t seen Alex Honnold in Alone on the Wall, but I’m sure that will only prove the point further.
Here’s the trailer for the Reel Rock Tour, opening with Ueli Steck motoring up the final snowfield of the Heckmair Route on the Eiger:
